Code Monkey Like Me?

Well, if you happen to know anything about anything, you will surely know about the newest Pop megastar Jonathan Coulton who just signed with Quickstop Entertainment Inc. Assuming that you do in fact know about him (which I will henceforth assume based on the fact that you are continuing to read this after having looked at the above link) you also know that he personally wrote a song completely and specifically devoted to me! Don't be jealous >=oD.

All monkey business aside, the chimps at LucasArts have been working hard to make slicing through Darth Vader as realistic of an experience as possible. This impressive demonstration of the new physics engine that will drive the newest PC Star Wars installment rocks...or rather throws rocks! Oh it's friday gimme a break, I made a punny earlier about how growing Fungi does NOT make you a fun guy...IT'S A FACT! Just watch:

Speaking of PC Games, I'm not sure I have shared this yet, but I in fact play The World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade on Stonemaul server. I have several characters, but my "main" or the character that I devote the most time and effort to, is a lvl 70 warrior. Recently, we have decided to take up the ancient art of PvPing (thats Player versus Player), specifically in the arena. Our 5 man team name is "Team Swarlez" in honor of the Swarley episode on one of my favorite shows: How I met your mother.

Here is Daeriam, the time-sucker herself:

Im off to get laptops...more later.

V is for Vendetta on Valentine's Day

For those of us who have lived, period, seeing roads that are icy, slick and somewhat dangerous is not uncommon when it comes to a Chicago winter snowstorm or its aftermath. But for one man in the middle of a midlife crisis, driving in a distinctly urine-colored motor vehicle, the idea that his incontinent car might not be able to stop on a dime when he went especially fast never even crossed his mind. "It's icy," he tried to explain, as I got out of my recently bumpercar-ed Honda, a look of utter disbelief on my face. "Seriously? Just slow down..."

At that moment as I walked to my car, an incredible thing happened. From the clouds above came the situational hero: CAPTAIN OBVIOUS! Captain Obvious ran over to the weather-impaired man and SLAPPED some sense in to him!

The following is a dramatized depiction of the vile villain in question:

Shortly after, I was attacked while wearing my Tony Jaa suit, and it just so happened to get caught on candid camera... This is what happens when you mess with the SHAMURAI!!!

Happy Hogwarts Heaven and Hell Hilarity

Lets get the pleasantries out of the way so I can get to the meat of what I have to say (which to be honest isn't much more than rambling :D).

My name is (Hi)Sham. I'm a 22-year-old Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT) graduate, who is currently employed by the Hogwarts of the Chicagoland area: St. Ignatius College Prep. Above is a picture of the dashing fella who I am sure you are very interested to hear talk about technology, games, music, sports, and all things that I personally think are cool.

Recently, I have been given the opportunity to work with four distinct computer configurations. Show me what you're workin' wit' you say? Here they are:

Mac Pro - this is the home comp...as pimped out as I thought I could afford. With 2 Core Duos and 4G of RAM running OSX, this baby is workin' wit' a lot.

Old School Home Built Work PC - This thing is running Windows XP with 2G of RAM. The system properties for some reason won't tell me what kind of processor it has, or how fast said trixy missing processor is...Nonetheless it is overall pretty fast and works well.

(this is not actually my computer....but it could be...maybe)

MacBook - This is a maxed out MacBook with 2G of RAM and a Single Intel Core Duo also running OSX but with Windows XP setup as the BootCamp boot as well as Vista set up in Parallels (the Virual Machine program). This thing, as a laptop or desktop, rocks my proverbial socks.

Lenovo X60 Tablet - This Tabletastic Tablet PC is as tablety as they get...I think you get the idea. The Lenovo is running Vista Business with a Dual Core Processor. It has a "Windows Experience Index Rating" of 3.0, which would be higher, but since it doesn't have a spectacular video card, it gets an overall lower score.

Now that you know about all the cool gadgets I get to play with, you should probably see the people who have made it all possible:

Just kidding.

For now I will leave you with the knowledge that I am tippy-toeing on the line between good and evil, brilliance and madness, MAC AND PC! And with this lost footage never before seen on this blog(disclaimer for some language, this footage has been tagged as "Seriously you are actually offended by language at this point when Comedy Central can show nudity and say any and all curse words you can think of..." ENJOY):
